MY HOMEMADE BED

When I moved in to this flat, there were two bookshelves (from IKEA, named “Billy”) in the bedroom. I didn’t want them, and I was just about to throw them out when I got an idea… This is a great base for a bed!

I pulled the shelves down on the floor. The main frame would function as the bed base. The inside shelves were flipped over and mounted on the back of the main frame, creating a grid base for the mattress. I painted it and let the mattress on top.

The main frame was a bit longer than the mattress, which created a nice shelf at the bottom of the bed. It is also functioning as a step for my kids to easier climb into bed. Voilà!

Hello!

I got a new lamp in my diningroom. Last time I was in Trondheim I found this big old lamp, so I moved the textile on it and found a new one to put on. I think it`s very cool and the light is fantastic!

So, I am addicted to black at the moment. Adore the contrast it makes. For this year I already said I belive in the “personal interior”. I bought this table at Ellos a while ago. (Cheap to be marble) but I had to paint the legs black. They were originally nature colored. The new blanket “Grid” (designed by Henrike Schoen) bought from my friends webshop pilogbue.

Hello! Happy new year to you all! Hope you enjoy your start of the new year!

As many of you know, I love to make new things to my home. This time I found a old shoe shelf and tore it into pieces, so I only had the two tops left, then I made small shelves of a kitchen benchtop that fitted into the ribs. Painted it black and Voilà. Looks a bit like a japanise bedroom now. H

BEFORE AND AFTER KITCHEN

When we moved into the apartment we are living in now it looked like this. I saw the potential, but since we are renting now I wanted it to be as cheap as possible. So I started to paint the floors white. After that I took all the walls. The blue color on the fronts was horrible, so they got white too. And than I made some leather handles in brown.

I then covered the tiles with some plywood. Voilà! “New” kitchen, €250/2000 NOK.

Some weeks ago I found this olf bookshelf at finn.no for free. I painted it grey and now I love it. The best thing about it, is that the shelf is around 100 years old.. So many books and so many memories in one furniture. I absolutely love it because it doesnt take so much space eather.  What do you think?

First, when we moved in to our new flat there was a bookshelf we wanted to remove. So we did it – but instead of making trash of it, I made myself a new bed of it. With a little paint, cutting and measuring the result is a lovely bed with storage and space at the foot end for books etc..

Good morning! The sun is shining today. I got some extra time today before work 0900. When I woke up the light was so lovely so I had to bring my camera and take some photos. Yesterday I made my own bed. I will show you more later this week.

Wow, do you see what I have done? I painted the coffee table .. *iiiiik* Always known I’m crazy, but to do this … In the worst case, it’s just sanding it down to oil it again. What do you think of the table now? OK? lovely? Ugly?
